So che probabilmente non la conosce nessuno (a parte le mini che ho commissionato a Nek) però ve lo segnalo lo stesso, nel caso a qualcuno interessasse.

With things as they are I have decided that Eolith Miniatures will be resting soon. I started Eolith mainly to produce resin 54mm fantasy figures, a marketplace that was emerging quite nicely a couple of years back but one that didn't really endure. The bottom has somewhat fallen out of it's marketplace and larger companies than I have stopped placing much investment in the scale. For myself I noticed that every 54mm piece I put out sold worse than the last until we meet my last release, Dracula and the kind of sales that make you want to hold your chest and pray for another breath...

I've left it a while to see how the catalogue went with ongoing sales. In the last few months sales have not even been modest. Beyond selling a very small number of resin zombie packs this year Eolith has sold very little. I know there hasn't been much in the way of release but the sales were dropping dramatically way before then and it had reached a point where sculpting a figure had to be something I wanted to do for pleasure as they were never going to pay me a wage.

For a good while I've been talking about returning to smaller scales. I rebranded from Spyglass to Eolith as I felt I was doing something different in 54mm and the name is associated with the 54mm scale despite a few experimental 28s here and there. Rather than release new figures in a different scale I felt I would consider Eolith not to be my company but to be my range of 54mm figures and so, as it is not really worth keeping them in production at the moment, I will be resting the range along with the currently available 28mm figures in the next few weeks.

There's a little stock left in the cupboard so anything you're after you should pick up quickly. I've already removed figures that have run out from the online store.

When there's basically no stock left I'll shut the online store.

I'm not overly bummed about this state of affairs as I'm quite proud of my Eolith figures and I feel it's mostly a case of my latching onto a niche marketplace that never really exploded as I thought it would. And, as said, I've got plans for new 28mm figures in the near future and I know that many of you have wanted me to make a proper move back to this kind of scale. There are several sculpts already on my desk and I'm busy with a few commissions too so it's not the end of the world. Plus one particular mini I'm working on is something I'm extremely excited to share with you all when it's finished (it's not one of my posts unless I tease something. This time it's Jeff).

So, no disaster here, just time to move onto other things. Feel free to browse the remaining product. I will warn you that I've only 3 or 4 of most of the 54mm figures (only Dracula has a few more) and there's less than twenty packs each of the metal figures. So, if there's something you're after, good to get it quickly.

Con le cose come sono, ho deciso che Miniatures Eolith riposerà al più presto. Ho iniziato Eolith principalmente per la produzione di figure di fantasia in resina 54 millimetri, un mercato che stava emergendo molto bene un paio di anni fa, ma che in realtà non sopportare. Il fondo ha un po 'caduto fuori del suo mercato e le imprese più grandi di quanto non abbia smesso di immissione investimenti molto nella scala. So che non c'è stato molto nel senso di liberazione, ma le vendite sono state cadute drammaticamente modo prima di allora e di aver raggiunto un punto in cui scolpire una figura doveva essere qualcosa che volevo fare per piacere come lo erano mai andare a pagare me un salario.

Per un bel po 'ho parlato di tornare a scale più piccole. I rimarchiati da Spyglass a Eolith come ho sentito che stavo facendo qualcosa di diverso in 54mm e il nome è associato con la scala 54 millimetri, nonostante un paio di 28s sperimentale qua e là. Invece di rilasciare i nuovi dati in una scala differente mi sono sentito io considero Eolith di non essere la mia azienda, ma per essere il mio raggio di 54 cifre, e così, in quanto non vale davvero la pena tenerli in produzione al momento, sarò a riposo il gamma insieme al momento disponibile in 28 millimetri figure prossime settimane.

C'è un po 'di brodo rimasto nella credenza così qualsiasi cosa siete dopo si dovrebbe prendere in fretta. Ho già rimosso figure che hanno esaurito dal negozio on-line.

Io non sono troppo depressa per questo stato di cose, come io sono molto orgoglioso dei miei dati Eolith e sento che è soprattutto un caso del mio aggancio su un mercato di nicchia che non è mai veramente esplosa, come ho pensato che sarebbe. E, come detto, ho piani per nuove figure 28 millimetri in un prossimo futuro e so che molti di voi hanno voluto che a fare una mossa corretta di nuovo a questo tipo di scala. Ci sono parecchi scolpisce già sulla mia scrivania e mi sto occupando con un paio di commissioni troppo quindi non è la fine del mondo. Più un mini particolare su cui sto lavorando è qualcosa che sono estremamente felice di condividere con tutti voi quando è finito (non è uno dei miei post se non qualcosa di prendere in giro. Questa volta è Jeff).

Quindi, nessun disastro qui, giusto il tempo di passare ad altre cose. Sentitevi liberi di navigare il prodotto rimanente. Vi avverto che ho solo 3 o 4 della maggior parte dei 54 millimetri cifre (solo Dracula ha pochi di più) e ci sono meno di venti confezioni ciascuna delle figure di metallo. Quindi, se c'è qualcosa che cercate, buona per farlo in fretta.
